177 Royalty-Free Audio Tracks for "The Scale"

This is one of 17 recordings made with the same patch. Same tempo, same scale, different outcome. I made this recordings for disquiet junto project 0377: algorithms assemble.

Blackjack scale, derived from the secor (s = 116.72 cents), the difference between 10 secors and a perfect octave (q = 32.84 cents), and the difference between that and a secor (r = s-q = 83.88 cents). MIDI pitch bend appears to match intervals. 20 approximate over tones of a 440hz sounded by fading in and out them one by one; they ovelap. At first it resembles overtone singing, but the a, fundamental tone fades out very quickly. May sound annoying.

Chord from just Bohlen–Pierce scale: C-G-A Title refers to harmonics (fundamental=1:3:9:etc.)., tuned to harmonics 3, 5, and 7. "BP" above the clefs indicates Bohlen–Pierce notation.

Quick flourishes of synth keys going up and down the pentatonic scale. Synth used was the korg ms 20 mini, analogue and monophonic. Subtle filtering and echo was placed on the recordings, as well as some reversing.

Literally just me playing the first half of a scale on the low e chord and then reversed but it sounds cool.

Recently we purchased a scale from ikea, when we finally got around to using it we realized that it must be off, as i do not weigh 240 lbs. As we did not have a receipt, or the desire to drive 2 hours to return a $10 scale the only course of action left to me was to take the damn thing apart and record its insides. (what else?). I recorded and edited together around 7 and a half minutes of various configurations and performances of me making some sort of repetitive, engine-like sound. I can foresee myself using these sounds for an old-timey engine or car. Recorded with a rode ntg-3 at 96/24.

A short piece of melody. . . Sound is an artifact extracted from one of test records in new audacity. It sounds like a saw. . . Or something? idk. This piece sounds kinda exotic because i used the second half of harmonic e-minor scale. So some people could use this combination (descending harmonic scale) before (even now i can remember two examples. ).

I recorded several different guitar riffs played on an eastern, egyptian music scale and then multi-tracked the recordings. Polished the rendered audio a bit with reverbs as well.

In the song i use this it is played over an e-minor. The scale is either harmonic minor on b or h. M. 5 on f#. Sorry, i forgot which one it was exactly.

Snippets from recordings of me playing the tanpura. Tuned to e flat, the notes from top to bottom are b flat, e flat, c, low e flat. In traditional indian tuning the root note in the scale is referred to as sa and is e flat in this scale the fifth note (b flat in this scale) is referred to as pa and the sixth note (c) is dha. I noticed that my first pack of tanpura samples has a bit of fuzzy white noise so in this pack i have equalized - i reduced all the very high frequencies which got rid of most of the white noise without affecting the low frequency sounds of the tanpura itself. Please note this is the tanpura part of an instrument called the swar sangam which combines the swarmandal (indian harp) and the tanpura, it is not a traditional tanpura and does sound slightly different.

I generated four square tones with increasing silence in between with audacity. The tones are the c major scale. It is very useful in old video games when you win or do something good.
